How we make money

The short version is the disclosure you'll see next to every quote button on this site:

There's no charge to read this site or browse its installer lists. A quote button, wherever one appears, is the single path to our matching partners, and one of them pays us, not the reverse, if a click there turns into an actual quote request. A name earns its spot in a city list from a public license record or, in a city where we don't carry enough of that record, from its own Google rating, never from a payment, and whoever calls you back afterward isn't promised to be one of those names.

The material science and code content on this site is researched and written the same way whether a single visitor ever clicks anything or not.

The only paid relationship is between us and a matching partner, triggered when someone requests quotes through a quote button. Installers appearing in our city listings don't pay anything and aren't promised to be the ones who follow up.

The quote button

Pages with listings also carry a quote button. It opens a quote request run by our matching partners, not by the businesses listed on the page. When you ask for quotes through it, a partner may pay us. That is how we pay for running this site.

The partner decides which companies to match you with, so the companies that contact you may not be the ones listed on the page you came from. Before you hire anyone, check their license the same way you would check a listed business.

What it costs you

Using Fiber Cement Siding Installers costs homeowners nothing. You don't pay us for listings, lookups or quote requests.

What money doesn't change

How to tell the links apart

Quote buttons always sit in a box with the disclosure above, and they are marked as sponsored links in the page code (rel="sponsored"). Every other outbound link on the site goes to an official license record, a business's Google Maps listing, or a source we cite.
